About The Greenhouse Shoppe
In 1990, Marty and Donna purchased the property which is home to The Greenhouse Shoppe. Marty grew up helping in his family’s greenhouse operation and also worked for various other greenhouses. Donna has a business degree and worked in the corporate world.
While dating, Donna would help Marty in the greenhouse and the product they grew was sold primarily in the wholesale market. After their marriage, they decided to open a retail operation. Since Marty would like to have a greenhouse and Donna thought she would like to have a retail shop, it was decided to name the business The Greenhouse Shoppe to reflect both of their interests.
The Greenhouse Shoppe operates as a garden center most of the year for the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. The store is transformed into a Christmas Wonderland which begins with a Christmas Open House the first Saturday of November. The store is closed from Christmas Day until mid-February to transition from Christmas back to Spring. The Greenhouse Shoppe carries a wide range of plant materials, a large selection of garden accessories and gift items as well as a huge array of products used for gardening or landscaping the yard.
Being a small business, we hope to make our customers feel they are part of The Greenhouse Shoppe family. The theme for our store renovation was to make our store resemble a home because most of our customers are decorating or doing projects around their home. Whether you are gardening, landscaping, or decorating your home, we hope to assist you with your project. We appreciate your business and look forward to meeting you and serving you.
